The hospital is being built to accommodate population growth in Sydney’s western suburbs.

E.ON and Statoil have reached another milestone in the construction of the Arkona offshore wind farm project in the Baltic Sea. On Monday (February 20) the topping out ceremony was held for the operating and maintenance building at Mukran Port in Sassnitz on the island of Rügen. Nearly four million euros have been invested in this project.
As part of its ongoing “Technology Strategy”, Gazprom Neft has established a programme directed at developing technologies to exploit oil reserves located below a gas cap.* Implementation of the projects within this programme will, in the long term, allow some 215 million tonnes of oil reserves to be brought into development.
An advanced process control (APC) system is currently being implemented at the Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery, directed at increasing effectiveness and optimising the operation of the plant’s production facilities.

Global demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) reached 265 million tonnes (MT) in 2016 – enough to supply power to around 500 million homes a year. This included an increase in net LNG imports of 17 MT.

Puerto Errado 2 - First Year In Operation

In August 2012, the 30 MWel solar thermal power plant Puerto Errado 2 has started commercial operation. The plant daily supplies the electricity for 15‘000 homes, generated from 100% renewable resources.
Elecnor has won the USD 117.2 million (equivalent to approximately EUR 110.8 million) contract to build a solar PV plant in Chile. This facility, with a capacity of 115 MWp, will be in the municipality of Til Til, to the north of Santiago, in the Metropolitan Region.
Iberdrola has completed the extension to the largest hydroelectric complex in Galicia, following the commissioning of the new San Pedro II power plant, which was inaugurated this morning by the Chairman of Iberdrola, Ignacio Galán, and the President of the Regional Government (Xunta) of Galicia, Alberto Nuñez Feijóo, in the Sil River Basin, in the municipality of Nogueira de Ramuín (Ourense).
As one of the world's biggest copper ore operations, the Chilean mining company Compañía Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi SCM based in Las Condes/Chile commissioned Siemens to modernize the drive system of four of its ore mills. The mine is located in the North of Chile, around 180 kilometers southeast of the port of Iquique.

Gazprom Neft has met annual production targets at its Prirazlomnaya offshore platform (the first and, thus far, the only project on the Russian Arctic Shelf at which commercial hydrocarbon production is currently ongoing), with a total 2,154,000 tonnes of “ARCO” (Arctic Oil) being produced at the Prirazlomnoye field in 2016 — an over 2.5-fold increase on 2015 volumes, which saw 800,000 tonnes of oil despatched to customers in North West Europe.
Siemens received an order from Castle Peak Power Company Limited(CAPCO) for the delivery of a power block for a new combined cycle unit in its Black Point Power Station in Tuen Mun, in the northwest of Hong Kong. This marks the first order for Siemens power plant components from Hong Kong in 20 years.

Wood Group Secures Saudi Aramco Contract

Wood Group has secured a five year, multi-million dollar framework agreement to continue to provide engineering and project management services to Saudi Aramco's onshore capital programmes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NRG) and JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corporation (JX Nippon) have completed construction, on-budget and on-schedule, of Petra Nova, the world’s largest post-combustion carbon capture system.

Petrofac Awarded Oman Gas Project

Petrofac has signed a contract worth close to US$600 million with Salalah LPG SFZCO LLC (SLPG), wholly owned subsidiary of Oman Oil Facilities Development Company LLC (OOFDC), to undertake the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of its Salalah LPG extraction project in the southern part of Oman.
The airport group of Mexico City, of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation of the Government of Mexico, has awarded the consortium of companies led by Grupo Carso, and also involving FCC and other companies in the sector, to build the Terminal building of the New Mexico City International Airport (NAICM), in the land located in the Federal Zone of Lake Texcoco presenting the best economic and technical proposal.
FCC has commenced operation of the new Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) at McCommas Bluff Landfill facility south of Dallas, Texas, receiving all of the material from the city's single recyclable waste container Dallas and also the city of University Park, Texas, which in November 2016 awarded FCC a five-year service contract for the treatment and commercialization of recyclable waste in the city.

Contract Extension With Saudi Aramco

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) today announced a new natural gas discovery in the Papua New Guinea North Highlands, 13 miles (21 kilometers) northwest of the Hides Gas Field. Interest owners are ExxonMobil (42.5 percent), Oil Search Limited (37.5 percent) and Barracuda Limited, a subsidiary of Santos Limited (20 percent, subject to regulatory approval), with Oil Search as operator.
With the award of two contracts for the construction of wind farms with a combined capacity of 148 megawatt, the Nordex Group has successfully entered the new growth market Argentina in December.
Technip has been awarded by SOCAR GPC a service contract for the ethylene and cryomax technology licenses respectively for a petrochemical complex and for the NGL(1) recovery section of a gas processing plant, which is part of a new gas and petrochemical complex, located in Garadagh, Azerbaijan.
Statoil plans to drill around 30 exploration wells in 2017, an increase of around 30% compared to 2016. More than half of the wells will be drilled on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

1 Billion Barrels Produced At Valhall

Valhall and Hod have passed one billion barrels of oil equivalents (oil, gas and NGL) produced – thus more than three times what was expected at the opening of the field in 1982.
Costain, the engineering solutions provider, has secured a place on Transport for London’s Surface Transport Major Projects Framework (the ‘Framework’), which covers the delivery, upgrade and maintenance of bridges, tunnels and highways across London.
ExxonMobil announced today its development of cMISTTM technology, which dehydrates natural gas using a patented absorption system inside pipes and replaces the need for conventional dehydration tower technology. This “in-line” technology could be deployed at both land-based and offshore natural gas production operations.
Siemens is to provide the complete traction power supply for the first section of metro line 1 in Lima, which covers around nine kilometers. The modern power supply, upgrading of existing overhead contact line system and modifications to electrification in the depots will increase both the availability and the cost-effectiveness of the rail route. The upgrade be carried out during ongoing operation.

In October 2016, the FCC Environment signed a £ 142m contract to design, finance, build and operate the Millerhill Energy and Resource Recovery Center (RERC), Midlothian, located on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The agreement provides for a construction period of 30 months, and the start of the activity is scheduled for 2019, followed by a term of operation for the next 25 years.
